Jayde has been immortalized once again..

Thanks to some friends over at DK Info, they've discovered that there is a new quest in Icecrown that calls upon none other than yours truly for help, as well as Munch and his newly risen ghoul, Melt. :) (Thanks, Hex!)

I had to run down for myself and check it out! =]

If you don't know what this is all about, you might want to look up The Deathknights of Acherus.

If anyone at Blizzard Entertainment is reading this, thank you. I am truly honored. :)

Best. Quest. Ever.

Congratulations, Jayde. You deserve it.

(Long-time reader here, thanks for keeping us all informed on DK developments)

Well, I guess you're famous far and wide now!

But, hey, grats. You deserve it. I bet the Devs never get tired of Ghostcrawler saying "Hey so Jayde has those ideas blah blah".

Grats Jayde! You have done so much feedback to make WotLK a great expansion!

Congratulations! You are well deserving of such an honor. You have single handedly made me want to play a DK as my main in WotLK. From the second I saw you running through WPL.

Thanks for all you've done in the Beta.

Congrats Jayde, you deserve it! Looking forward to doing the quest someday.

Question for you. By far the most inspiring video for me to make a Death Knight was your escort quest vid you did as blood in Terokkar. The chain pulling and no down-time was, and still is, quite jaw dropping. In your opinion is it still possible to do this with the recent nerfs? Do you think that being able to do what you did is in-line with Blizzard's purpose for the class, or is it considered overpowered?

what a tool...

Bryan,

I believe it's still possible. It might take a bit longer, but I think it's still doable.

Forgive me for throwing this on your blog, but I have no beta access. I've been keeping up with the beta forums and this is what I think...

With the way GC has explained it, its pretty much impossible to do what they want to do with the class without making it completely OP in some respects. There has been talks of a 'budget' when it comes to talent trees and whatnot... and with such a budget, there is NO WAY that all trees will be equally capable of all three roles this class can play. Give up trying to balance it in this respect. For instance: There will need to be WAY too many baked-in abilities to give it the burst needed for PVP... but when you combine that with talented abilities needed for PVE DPS the class becomes OP. Same way with tanking, when you combine the avoidance needed for tanking with whatever baked in abilities needed for PVE/PVP DPS spec to be viable, it'll out-threat nearly every tank in the game and be good at everything else to top it off. From what I've read, I don't think people would be too opposed to having to have separate specs for each role. It'll make it more in line with other classes, and give people what they're asking for since it'll be way easier to balance it.

Which beta server do you and Socio play on? What side? I want to stalk you.

Lich King horde and murmur alliance.

Alliance on Murmur? Gah. I already transferred a Horde Warlock.
